Halloween is over

Holidays aren't what they used to be anymore. There is no excitement when you wake up in the morning, or the thrill of decorating before it comes. It just feels like another day in the year now. Last night, I dressed up like a football player and got all ready for this party at my friend Denise's house. Well, it ended up with us being the chaperones to everyone, while they listen to her brothers band play out in the backyard. I mean not that it wasn't fun to be there with my friend, but it just wasn't how I thought it was going to be. Then we went to my house and Marcia was here with her daughter Betta. That was cool until betta invited her 2 friends over, and it was kind of uncomfortable for both me and Denise. Later once they all left Denise called her mom to come over and hang for a while and we had a good time talking, so that was fun. So, I don't know, holidays were always something to look forward to, and not that they aren't now, with seeing family that you haven't seen in a while and just being together, but that excitement is gone for me. And, my mom keeps saying "oh it's just because you're getting older," but just because I am older why should all the thrill of each holiday dissappear?

Time For Some Physical Therapy!

I went and saw the doctor today for my knee, and it turns out I did something to the knee cap, so now I need physical therapy. He said that there is like tension or something in the knee cap making it not be able to move the way it should, and there is some swelling. Luckily I didn't pull a ligament, but I still have to deal with all this, and I don't like it. The doc said that I need to go very slow up and down stairs, if possible use the elevator at school, and just pace myself. This is crazy, I mean just from pulling some stupid roots, like I'll ever do that again. Anyway, so I don't know how long it will take until my knee gets better, but for now I am stuck with a hurt knee and not being able to walk well. Anyway, I will talk to everyone later, bye.

I'm an Auntie, Again!!

I went with Mary to visit my brand new niece, Savanna. She was so cute in the little outfit she had on, and I couldn't wait to hold her. She was so tiny in my arms, and when she started fussing i just put her binky in and she felt really relaxed. It wasn't until Steven yelled at the TV, that she jumped, her eyes opened and she started fussing again. That's when I handed her off to Mary, haha. I just love babies, hehe. Oh yes, and of course Miss Brynn was there and she drew in Mary's palm pilot and showed me the pictures, it was very cute. Anyway, I had a great time, and it was nice to get out and see my step fam! Just Another Thing

On Sunday I was pulling out tree roots from the ground in our backyard with my mom, and they were really hard to pull out, but I was able to get a bunch. Anyway, later on in the day, while I was walking I started feeling more and more pain in and around my knee, I was able to walk, but at the end of the day I was limping from all the pain. I took some medicine,but nothing is helping and you can tell it is more swollen than the other knee. My mom got me a knee brace to at least support me while I walk, I mean I took off school today because I didn't want to have to walk up the stairs, it hurt so much. But tomorrow I have stairs to walk up too, so I don't know what I am going to do, I mean it still hurts even with the brace but I guess I can handle the pain, ya know? Well, if it doesn't get any better I am going to go to the doctor because I am having so much trouble walking and bending my knee. This is crazy and I just hate not being able to walk! talk to you guys later, bye.

Changin' it up

So, I talked to my counselor today about switching majors, well not neccessarily majors but going from veterinary, to vet tech certificate instead, but still get my AS degree. I asked the counselor and he said that I could do this, but he doesn't think that I can get an AS degree at the JC but I can do an AA, I would just have to have a major in some type of science. Anyway, since it was early bird registration stuff, I was only able to talk with him for 15 minutes, so he told me to make an appointment for spring to come back to get the major and certificate thing straightened out and right now I just focus on classes for next semester. So, for now he put my goal as animal health tech, and I am going to be taking English, Bio 10, and 2 animal health classes, which I am excited about. Well, I will talk to you guys later, bye!

Okay, Not So Bad...

So I got my second midterm back today, and I got a C+, which I am actually happy about because I knew I had trouble on the multiple choice part of the test. All in all, I think I did very well with this exam, and this grade gives me a B+ in the class, so whohoo!! I am happy, and not down on myself at all, and I know I will do better next time. I DID IT!!

OMG, I did it, I got my first midterm back and I got an A!!! I couldn't believe my eyes, I mean I thought maybe a B at the most but not an A. You should have seen me when I got back this test, my smile was from ear to ear, haha. I was so excited, my first college midterm and I got and A, whoohoo!! Anyway, I am waiting for my next one to come back on thursday, so I can't get too excited. But I just had to tell everyone. Well, I will talk to ya'll later, bye!
